Orlando Festival of Lights

Shine on, Orlando!  To elevate the status of Central Florida's arts and culture to that befitting a world-class community, we look forward to your support of the Orlando Festival of Lights!

Festival Mission

For more than 30 years, Orlando and Orange County have hosted successful light festivals with iconic experiences that have united our residents and visitors. Our focus at the new Orlando Festival of Lights is to provide exhibitions and programs that illuminate the lives of our guests while integrating our artistic communities with international artisans and cultures. The Orlando Festival of Lights is projected to reach more than 130,000 visitors each year, many through free or reduced admission.

Our student and teacher reach is a particular emphasis and we project to attract over 12,000 community households in addition to tens of thousands of visitors. Attendance is projected to grow annually in line with local festivals and attractions.

Exhibitions

Hello, Orlando!

Aspirational Projection Mapping

Each year, the Festival of Lights will host up to two exhibitions that typically stay for three months. These exhibitions explore unique themes and appeal to a wide and diverse audience, with an emphasis on interactive and thought-provoking experiences.

As Central Florida’s highest-attended cultural festival, hosting traveling exhibitions ensures we will attract significant media attention and recognition. Furthermore, each blockbuster exhibition will provide the Festival of Lights with opportunities to grow our partnerships and strengthen collaborations among the arts and cultural organizations in our community.

First Three Seasons

In the 2020 season, the Festival of Lights plans to host a new blockbuster exhibition, the World Lantern Art Festival. The World Lantern Art Festival will provide a unique opportunity to explore the art and technology of international and especially Asian arts and cultures.

The Festival of Lights will forge partnerships with several community companies, including Dezerland Events Center, and organizations to leverage our marketing relationships to garner significant attention and media coverage. We expect on-site attendance totalling approximately 130,000 visitors during the run.
